Ignatius O'Ferrall

Ignatius O'Ferrallwas son of John O'Ferrall I andMary.I do not know the date or place of his birth, but he passed away 24 FEB 1824.On 27 FEB 1790, he marriedFrances McKiernan,daughter ofMichael McKiernan andFrances O'Connel.Frances McKiernan was born 1765 in Fenagh, Leirnem Co., Ireland.She passed away in 1855 in Bath, WV.

Ignatius and Frances O'Ferrall were in business in Berkeley and MorganCounties, VA, in the early 1800's. When Ignatius passed away he left asignificant debt. Even though she was not responsible for that debt,the record shows that Frances ran their business and paid off the debtduring her remaining lifetime. She became noted as a shrewd and efficientbusiness lady.
