  1. I am Albert Hunter Spinks, born 1930 in Memphis, TN; m. Mary Hilma Wilson, born 1932 in Winona, MS; both reared in Miss.; currently living in Burlington, NC. My father was:

  2. Albert Grady Spinks (1890-1970). He was born in Kemper Co., Miss. m. 23 DEC 1926 Helen Bernice Fox (1897-1972) Spent their lives in Miss. His father was:

  3. Albert Hunter Spinks (1857-1951). He was born in Miss. m. 15 AUG 1882 Undine Brame (1863-1934) She was born in AL. They both lived and died in Kemper Co., Miss. His father was:

  4. Peter Early Spinks (1821-1906) He was born in AL. m. Mary Elizabeth Lloyd (1828-1900) She was born in AL. They both lived and died in Kemper Co., MS. His father was:

  5. John Spinks (1785-1861). He was born in NC. Lived in NC, GA, ALA, and MS. m. 3 FEB 1818 Margaret Kelly (1792-1853) She was born in Georgia. They both died in Kemper Co., MS. His father was:

  6. Presley Spinks (ab. 1750-ab. 1835). He was born in VA. Lived in VA, NC, and GA m. ab. 1783 Mary (Molly) Dicken They both died in GA. His father was:

  7. John Spinks I (1721-ab. 1779). He was born, lived, and died in northern VA. His will is recorded in Fairfax Co., VA. m. 6 NOV 1741 Rosamond Corbin

  8. There are a number of Spinkses recorded in northern VA prior to above listed John and I believe he descended from some of them. The most likely parents of John are Enoch and Grace Spinks, per entries in the St. Paul's Parish Register. To my knowledge noone has firmly connected our Spinkses back to Europe. However, I do believe the Spinkses came from the British Isles because the name or its derivatives can be found in the British historical records.
