Records show Presley Spinks to be in Edgecomb Co., NC, by 1778. About 1783 he married Mary (Molly) Dicken, daughter of Ephraim Dicken. By the mid 1790's both families plus some in-laws and friends had moved to GA. Presley is first listed in Hancock Co., Ga. and later in Warren Co. Mary Dicken passed away by the early 1800's for Presley Spinks married a 2nd time to Martha Jones on 31 JAN 1811.
